Indeed there is nothing standard about this game. Who ever heard of two versions of the same MMO being worked on at once?
But as far as FFXIII-2 chocobo music is concerned, I think you should lighten up. Any drum solo that sounds like it was done by this guy can't be all bad:

Keep in mind that two games are being developed in parallel, and the quantity of additions still remains roughly on the same level as otherr MMO's. But that can only be achieved through a gigantic team of 250 people. It is hardly standard procedure as you said, and thus incredibly difficult to realistically compare.
It's a good thing that hasn't stopped us from making unrealistic comparisons though.

something tells me there is alot being held back specificaly for it, and how much will be a huge selling point
the fact we are getting what we are til then is also a nice pace too
