Do We Know What's Happening With Tomes?

I've heard various rumors on what the deal is going to be with ARR and HW tomes.

Couple different scenarios.

1. Only poetics and scripture will remain for old content which makes the most sense.
2. Only poetics will remain and will be used for both level 50 and 60 content.

Which is it? Was going to hoard scripture for a level 60 SAM weapon but if it's gonna have to be converted to poetics I know the exchange rate is going to be low going by track record.

I thought SE had announced that poetics will be used for all old content, but I can't really seem to find a source for it anymore.

Poetics will be used for both Realm Reborn and Heavensward content after 4.0 goes live.

It was also indicated that if you have Lore/Scripture going into 4.0 you would be able to do some kind of trade in for the new currency and get a head start.

Poetics will remain (along with their methods for obtaining them) as well as Scriptures. These two tomes, and their associated items, are vital steps in gear progression for new characters/accounts. The Lore tomes will be removed and we'll be given a limited chance to convert them into Scripture.

Looking back, you'll see that there is actually quite a large margin in scaling between first level 50 dungeons and the last set of level 50's. While a new character can run the first few dungeons, they will not be geared enough to run the later dungeons. Keeping the Poetic gear in the game will is a vital step in the gear ladder to help move through the wide spectrum that is "Level 50" as well as transitioning into the level 60 content.

This same concept will apply to the entire level 60 content, as well as moving into the soon-to-be level 70 content.

It'll be like the rest. Poetics will be phased out, there will be an NPC related to Rowena that you can trade in your Poetics for Lore. A new Tomestone will be introduced, and all existing Tomestones uses and obtainment methods will shift down a tier.

Poetics will not be phased out. They were the final tomestone introduced in the 2.x series before 3.0 was launched. Yet, they are still around to obtain the Ironworks gear, which was also introduced in the end of the 2.x line before 3.0 was released. Lore tomes will be phased out, but Poetics and Scriptures will remain to obtain important 50 and 60 tiered items.
