well if you look at the LL's stat it's not bad compare to ifrit. but what's that Grid one DMG 125? Even Hart Guisarme is better than that. And Parry +15!? /passout

I think they were like "eff you if you're a lnc you chose Gridania LULZ" really can't be any other explanation, and it doesn't make sense since lnc is a gridanian guild. seriously the LL and uldah one are so similar no excuse for Grid to be so diff.

I hope it is just a typo... 145 is reasonable
No other gears has such difference than the lance.

When you look at it that way, not only are they all very close but the Gridanian Harpoon is actually the second best. And honestly, since I don't think there is a DPS/TP rule in XIV like XI had, you will outparse the other two lances with the gridanian one because of faster TP gain. This the same reasoning back in 1.18 why Peiste Cesti were #1. Its not always about hardest hitting weapon, there are a lot of other factors to consider.

I could do the same breakdown with the shields someone else posted but it would be redundant. Uldah's shield has a lower block rate but a drastically higher block. This also makes sense, hoplons are bigger shields than bucklers, won't block as often but will block a lot better. Factor in GLA's block%+ traits/abilities and the hoplon will most likely do much better in the field.

Oh wow, I retract my statement about the shields (LL's at least). I just assumed they did the same thing with shields that they did with the lances (I couldn't see your actual post when I was making mine) but that isn't the case at all. The LL shield has worse stats in both categories... Maybe it'll have cooler art...? Since they always have the best looking attire. Iunno, that does look unfair though.

As pointed out above the DPS is roughly the same and the TP gain is higher on th faster weapon.

it's for different situation, like when Lancer had to tank. I'd welcome parry weapon when i am doing something like this.
