Average iLvl should be adjusted and weighted properly

I was reading a story in another thread and it reminded me to bring up this issue that's been a problem since the start of 2.0.

If I equip an iLvl 50 weapon, and an iLvl 270 ring, my gearset's iLvl would be the same as it would be if I equipped an iLvl 270 weapon and an iLvl 50 ring.

This has been a glaring issue for a long time. People bumping iLvl simply by gearing up their cheaper pieces (accessories) before doing left side (armor & weapon).

It's common knowledge that a weapon is worth more than a ring in terms of contribution, yet they are weighted the same. Why?

Why should my average iLvl increase the exact same amount if I upgraded to a higher level accessory as it would if I upgraded my weapon?

This really should be adjusted to allow for proper weighting.
Part of the issue is being mitigated with the addition of exclusive accessories in SB (not being able to equip a MND ring on a DPS for example), however the underlying issue still remains.

You can very quickly inflate your average iLvl by simply upgrading all of the cheaper, less impactful slots first - and upgrade the more important slots like weapon/body/legs afterwards.

*Edit* I am pretty fail at using the search function in these forums.
