Then why did they make a system that still provides people the option to not have those important skills?
It seems like the same system except now you just don't have to level other jobs. aka laziness.
cross-class skills will be still ingame, for DoH and DoL classes
Cross-Class skills were never about "I want this skill so I'm going to work for it." It was always "I HAVE to have this skill otherwise I'm not optimal and people will bitch because I'm not playing my class to the fullest without it." Its less about being lazy and more about the fact that I'd rather spend more time playing a job I enjoy rather than treading through the boring lower level grind on a class that I don't care about. This way people can spend more time doing the things they want to do rather than being pigeon-holed into doing stuff they don't want to do.
That's the million dollar question that a lot of us have had for a long time. This is their way of rectifying the issue.
Right, tell that to the people that HAD the skills but never bothered to actually register them/use them. Sorry them trying to make sure people had what they needed right away hurts you so much *coughcough*
Plus with the current system, you can only get cross class skills from two other classes. Because of this all future tank classes would have only had Pld/War skills to pick from, and future healers would have only had Thm/Cnj to pick from.
Sooooooooooooooooo they gave people more options. More options is good. I think you're showing a bit of laziness in not looking this stuff up and seeing how restricting the current system is.
1) just because something is important doesn't mean it's always necessary. doctors are important, i haven't seen one this whole month.
2) because there's a segment of the playerbase that wants to customize so this is the bone that they get, even if it's the teeniest tiniest one they can find.
3) they want players to coordinate just a little bit more, hey if healer A has Protect, healer B can get something else.
