Stormblood Expansion download harddrive space requirement

Hello, I'm trying to prepare for the upcoming expansion release which got me to the following question:

I recall previous expansions always downloaded to your C drive first, even if your game is on your D drive. My question is how much space would have to be free on your C drive for the Stormblood early access download to complete ok?

The requirements say 60GB in total but that doesn't help me much.

I'm not sure anyone here on the forums knows, but if space is tight on your C drive... wouldn't hurt to free some up in preparation.

Unfortunately, Square's support doesn't have the best reputation and can be something of a roulette. Even if you get an answer and it's from someone knowledgeable, don't expect it to come particularly quickly. Good luck.

For people interested in the matter, the reply I got:
"Unfortunately, we don't know yet because as soon as the game will come out ; loads of patches will be added and increase this total. You have to wait until the games comes out."

I'll just make sure to have at least 20GB free for the download just in case, I doubt it'll be more than that..

In short, in your My Documents folder, there is a folder call My Games. That is where the files download first before the patches are applied. If you want, you can change which drive the My Documents folder is and then you do not have to worry about the space on the C drive.

Edit: I wanted to let you know that if you do change it, be aware that some applications use that reference for files too just like FF14 does in this case.
