    Well you still won't catch up with good dps especially since decimate doesn't have aggro multiplier. You also need to do one eye combo (3 gcd) for the eye buff now, instead of just doing heavy swing and maim. Honestly thinking about stance dancing in dungeons is giving me headache lol, but I'm much more concerned about the raid opener/rotation especially when you need butcher's block to pull the boss. Potencies may change, but unless they change the gauge generation (which I doubt) the rotation should stay mostly the same.

    ha I just wanted to test it out on tank aggro generation take it was just thordan normal trial but pretty much from what I saw on pali I could still just halone twice then turn on sword oath. Nobody was even gaining on me at all, two monks in the group to.

    The thing is alot of dps got nerfed with buffs, for instance, monk no longer has b4b, dragoon no longer has ir and alot of other personal buffs, bard only has raging now them and mch, so spike damage is pretty much out the window I think could be wrong. So I just dont think that it is gona be to hard to tank in sword oath, deliverance, and darkside. Also every aggro combo also got a buff in aggro , so I say things are prtty much gona be the same with maybe just having to use your aggro combos a bit more

    I'm in for the boycott as well. What they did to all jobs is not "revamping", it's plain butchering.
    I was a war tank since HW and I was an overexcited fanboy untill I logged and saw what they did.

    ...it's ugly, and we're only talking about war here, don't forget the others crippled.

    I logged in this morning and it was terrible, my poor warrior... I was most upset at loosing fracture... I cross classed that on everything I could when I started . No more flash as well? Terrible! I saw there was some other AoE skill like provoke but some nice flash spams were always nice in a pinch. And what the heck is with the skill buttons changing from different stances? I like haveing them as separate buttons, let me have that option. Between this and DRG I just could not even and logged out. SMN/SCH looked like most of the buttons were still there, I will just ply those till this gets sorted out... Although I have since read about problems on those classes as well since I gave up.... I'm just gonna play Zelda until they sort this whole mess out lol

    I'm certain everyone in japan was bad at the game too. This just makes the most sense.

    I'm... not surprised to see you guys lose gauge when you switch stances, but maybe one step back instead of two would help it. In HW it was designed to switch between stances, that's why you didn't lose anything. I can get them thinking that was too powerful, but they didn't do much to dismantle that design other than the gauge loss.

    Honestly, this "tank and healer balance" that they went for seems more like they just gave up on a lot of classes rather than an actual balancing attempt. For healers it's downright bad, the most powerful healer got the most buffs, the most unique healer got a lot of their playstyle removed, and the weakest healer got pretty much nothing.

    Sadly Ultimatum does not function like Flash at all, using it as an OT picking up adds while the MT tanking the main boss just mean that you are ripping the main boss off the MT as well if you are within the vicinity. PLD keep Flash, DRK got Unleash, WAR have to cone position which have much smaller area.

    Flash was perfect for WAR to pick up that initial mobs, round them up for Overpower, it give us time to breath on TP regeneration and make use of our MP and while the MP cost for a WAR to use Flash is very high I'm okay with it, it is a GLA/PLD skill after all.

    So, you can have the WAR as MT, and PLD/DRK can easily take adds

    No our mitigation did not increase. At all. We lost blood bath and foresight which we can replace in part with cross role rampart. Aside from that we gained nothing, every new skill is DPS but pld tops us in that department. Our mitigation is lowerr and our DPS is lower. Also it feels extremely clunky to play. unlike paladin all of our offensive moves are tied to a Guage that halfs when swapping where pld is only two defensive abilities tied to its guage. You put in twice the work on war for sub par results and a squishy tank that no longer has any synergy. In this change war was by far hit the hardest.
