    Boycotting Warrior 4.0 (Let's do it!)

    So WAR is a Fell Cleave job now? What happened to the self sustained tank that supposed to heal themselves to cover for their lack of mitigation CD, what happened to Bloodbath?
    So many of warrior utilities are gone, Bloodbath, Storm's Path, Mercy Stroke (it healed me for a good 6000+ HP), Berserk nerfed to 30%, extremely high cost for switching stance.

    What happened to the term quality over quantity? Now we are the Fell Cleave spam job for a lot of Fell Cleaves but less damage.

    Yoshi san, I thought you said you are going to make tank and healer job more fun/interesting to play to keep the people play tank/healer, making this kind of change to warrior is not going to keep people like me play tank. I'm sure there are tanks out there so excited with the 6 x Fell Cleaves but there are also a large amount of players that are not impress with the changes that might as well kill off the Warrior identity entirely.

    Hasn't your mitigation since increased more, to a resultant likely hps/mps over a progression content fight, than your self-sustain has decreased? Given how strong heals are in this game, the increase to max eHP should be more advantageous than the self-sustain, even if it muddies identity.

    Now, being some 20% behind PLD DPS, by latest tooltips' theorycrafting, on the other hand...

    I'm technically boycotting WAR, since I was a Warrior player when I did tank. That being said, I mentioned in the tank stance thread that I'm just kinda done with tanking until they get rid of stance dancing penalties across the board, for ALL tanks. The only reason I played WAR in Havensward is because of how smoothly it flowed. Now it's gone, and so am I.

    So yeah, +1 for the boycott I suppose. Hopefully they revisit their tank policies in the future and either allow for more smooth stance dancing, or eliminate tank stances altogether and bake the +enmity and +defense right into the jobs. I do think that it's only a matter of time until they take this approach, especially considering the fact that they took out stance dancing for Healers and made their game flow infinitely more smooth and less punishing as a result. I don't think it's super unreasonable that tanks ask for the same treatment.

    I started in 1.0 and pretty much mained LNC/DRG into ARR then from 2.1 to HW launch I played PLD almost exclusively. HW launch I leveled up PLD to 60 first, realized how broken it was and leveled up WAR to 60 and have been playing WAR since. I've been tanking a long time and now with all these nerfs it makes me not wanna play a tank anymore so I think I can finally put down the tank role and return to DPS main. My favorite job in FFXI was RDM so at least I got a DPS job I'm excited for, also chicken knife!

    I'm the one that's dropping tank role and switching to DPS. Far easy and rewarding than tank. It's complex, fun and self sustain now with bloodbath.
    I'm going to wait for the queues, no matter what, and if SE doesn't revamp tank role to be more rewarding I will just find a game that does!

    I dont mind the loss of bloodbath so much. 20% mitigation for 20 seconds is just as strong on a boss as it is on mobs(its always 20% no matter how much dps you do). With more enemies we could deal more damage through aoes and sustain became ridiculous. Blood bath was kind of poor sustain against bosses and single targets compared to BB+AoE spam. I feel like War can mt better this way. I more concerned about being weaker than PLD and the poor rage management system. Some moves need to be changed to tp only. If the boosted the Fell Cleaves it would put us closer to PLD in dps and make them feel more satisfying imo.

    it's funny how SE seems to have thing to ruin job that was working perfectly after they released their expansion, they f*cked paladin in 3.0 after things were going well for them in 2.0
    now they ruined war after 3.0 were going well for them

    I don't know about all of you, but what hurts me the most is the lack of flash. I love doing dungeons, and flash fills in the gap that WAR lacks, a spammable circular AoE to grab hate and bunch up trash. Overpower requires aiming and positioning. It's wonderful for when things are finally bunched up, but what about beforehand?

    Not to mention overpower spam for leveling from 15 to 30 in dungeons and when you're severely undergeared compared to your dps. Lack of flash to help save on TP won't be game breaking but will hurt a bit.
