    Not here to post dramatic changes but maybe buy Square some time to figure things out; If Whm is really that underwhelming during 4.0. Astro Cards, Scholar Shields and Pets, Whm Proshell. Force people to weigh options while raiding maybe till 4.1? Till a better fix is figured out by Square. *Cough force unique utility*

    It is my hope that drastic action by the playerbase, including people straight up refusing to play it, may encourage SE to bring it up to spec. That said, for the purposes of 4.0 I consider WHM dead on arrival until further notice.

    The problem is, we can already infer how things will go and be bad, especially in WHM's case and overall healer balance. We don't need to wait and see if a speeding train about to hit a sub-par looking bridge will end up, we can make inferences logically and weigh the probability of the likely outcome.

    As it stands we know what new abilities WHM has, and the general way they work. We know they have RNG tied to them. We know they are only off abilities that WHM's don't use a ton, especially with other oGCD heals/HoT's. We know They only grant a CD reduction, which is not needed/wanted in this game 98% of the time (see: AST spear discussions over the past 2 years to understand why). We know that the lily procing can't be controlled to what abilities we want (no one in their right mind will sit on an oGCD to use with lilies, you'll use it as needed/planned) .And we know nothing changes the core issue of what WHM was lacking over the other healers in 3.X; which is utility.

    WHM was replaced by AST simply because AST got their healing buffed to be able to throughput as much healing as WHM, while also having balance. And the dev response to this was to just give SCH more utility (Chain Stratagem), AST more healing and curbing their undesired cards (Minor Arcana), while WHM just got some more healing and unwanted CD reduction. And this comes at a time when healers are already quite powerful and not much healing is needed for content (see: any Healer DPS). So trying to add more healing with 0 utility is just baffling. And this is speaking nothing of the fact that WHM got a number of abilities taken from them and resold as cross role skills, meaning to just get back to the play style they had before they need to take up all their slots for their old abilities.

    TL;DR: A little simple logic can go a long way, people are being proactive in the disaster they see coming and making sure its known and working to get fixed sooner than later.
