Only if they remove the sound effects.Losing a couple of abilities was a mild shock, but nothing I'll miss in the long run. It's mostly numbers in the end anyway. The only thing I WILL miss are the unique animations that, by my knowledge, will become lost as well.
Scourge and Ring of Thorns come to mind. I was excited to use both in combination with the new /gpose system, but now this might not be possible anymore.
Is there a way we can keep the animations? Like.. Dummy the abilities out so it deals no damage of any sort (like the 'attacks' our Magitek Reaper has?).

DRG keeps Doom Spike which comes at 42, before Ring of Thorns. It's also the AoE, you're supposed to use as a filler and Ring of Thorns was only good when following Heavy Thrust (when it needs refreshing).
This change results in a very minor tp loss between 46-62, but you gain a lot more AoE damage and tp efficiency post-62. Ring of Thorns was a trap ability because new players who don't know better would spam it instead of Doom Spike. SE is making changes so it's more intuitive how to AoE.
About the complete removal, I liked the animation but I'm also not crying for it's sound going away or its spam potential.

Though uh.. Suppose we can't put aside our hateboner for Ring of Thorns? It's not just /that/ ability we're losing.

I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.
