Good or bad, I think the real problem is that like the WHM Lily effect it's all based on RNG and RNG is bad for healing. No healer wants a tank who spikes constantly, healers are the same. They require stability.

It gives SCH more spontaneity. A chance to have Aetherflow more often, and increase your throughput. They're fine without it as they've always been, this gives them a some chances to be more than fine. It's not like you're generally starved for stacks (and if you need to burn through all your stacks on lustrates you have a different problems)

Cure 2 will always award a Lily (as per the latest information given). And isn't it 50% for Cure 1?

If you consider a free stack of aetherflow an average of every six minutes to be spontaneous and exciting you can do that. I'll be over here looking at it critically and realizing that it's not some quirky little fun skill. This takes up the slot of something that could actually be more useful. I don't fully get why some people are being complacent here. Like do you people not understand basic math? This is actually a garbage skill which is poorly designed.

Almost all the new traits are pretty poor, honestly. It's pretty apparent they're running out of creative ideas for class abilities given we're only getting three new skills this time around, though seeing as how they're also reducing further to just a single new dungeon every other content patch (instead of two dungeons per patch), I've a suspicion that rather than gaining back the staff that went to work on FFXV they've instead lost even more members to other projects.

I would have thought they were taking a "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" approach, but that's obviously not the case given bane and aetherize reductions, cross-role ability selection, and the lilies and confession mechanics in general.

Well it's nice to see people finally coming around to see how shitty of a trait this is. I calculated weeks ago that in average raid scenario this amounts to only one or two stacks in good conditions, or an effective reduction of Aetherflow to 54s. Who the f*ck cares when fights are planned out. Hopefully people will continue chiming up about how much SE missed the mark with these ability changes and makes serious adjustments in 4.1

I'd prefer a 20% chance of not using an aetherflow stack when you use one of the moves. A free Energy Drain, Lustrate, Sacred Soil, or Indomitability isn't gamebreaking, but it sure as hell would feel amazing.

Yeah plz delete that Trait for something more useful. I can't envision a scenario where it would be useful in the least, or even changing the skill to be useful.

i.e. Even if you increased the proc chance, because healers rely on reliability it's a waste:
    - having to hold stacks for precise moments is counterintuitive to a reduction in CD Time.
    - While it could allow for more Fairy Meter stacks, the Fairy will be used at precise times leaving this useless if the meter fills faster.
    - With SCH losing Bio and Aero (essentially their main ability to weave oGCDs) receiving more Aetherflow stacks is even more counterintuitive to gameplay

    ---------------------
Maybe something along the lines of: SCH is a Strategist not a Randomist
    - when an Aetherflow stack is used the next spell cast will be instant.
    - when an Aetherflow stack is used the next spell MP cost will be reduced by 50%
    - when an Aetherflow stack is used something, something, not useless.

This trait is so useless it makes me sad.
AST HyperLightSpeed trait is powerful but affect a rather situational skill. But the effect is there for sure.
This one is just... how can I put it... anecdotal at best.
Boosting the % sure would help but it still a rather boring trait.

I think something along those lines would have been more interesting
"While no Aetherflow stack is active, the cooldown of Aetherflow recharges 100% faster.

It would hardly be abusable since it only be effective while you've no charge (which means your healing capacity is seriously gimped).
But at least it would be a stable and interesting effect. Like, if you had to use all your charge quick, you know they'll be back soon enough.

Anyway, hopefully they'll revamp that lame trait and not just buff it

am i in some sort of parallel universe? or are yall done pretending you actually need aetherflow stacks for like healing except on very sparse situations. are yall done pretending most fights actually even NEED healing that eos cant handle? how is enhanced lightspeed better than quick aetherflow when good asts barely ever cast benefics in the first place and lightspeed is rarely ever used anyways. Scholars use aetherflow stacks 3 times every minute and thats not even considering pre pull aetherflow (thats way more often than an ast gets a crit benefic).

With 3 stacks pre pull, burning them on energy drains, followed by aetherflow, 3 more energy drains, then using dissipation for 3 more drains, means 9 aetherflow actions in the first 30 seconds of the fight. Most likely youll have yet another aetherflow right away if not very soon which is another 3 energy drains. the dps increase this trait gives on the opener is immense, without mentioning that it has a big chance to give yet another extra aetherflow to use at the end of the fight.

This trait is amazing yall need to learn how to play your job lmao

I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.
