GLAMOUR CHANGE NEEDED! - URGENT!

Agree wholeheartedly with this post, a game where so many classes share gear should have a system in place so that it can memorize glamour used on a Job-level basis. You should be able to save a different glam with possibly different dyes for Astro, WHM, Cleric etc etc...

Yeah, this needs to happen. Maybe instead of interviewers asking for a glamour log again (so Yoshi can tell us why they can't do it again), someone should ask if its more plausible to lock glamours to job sets instead of gear sets, or anything of that nature. Redmages looking robed like Black mages and Summoners because of set sharing needs to be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

would love this, maybe somehow make glams tied to soul stones so you can stack an amount of glams up to how many jobs can wear the same gear piece

like you pick your healer chest, what you want to glam to it then the soul stone of the job you want to wear it

base + appearance+pick a soul stone+ (make sure you have the right glamor prisim)=cast
shire healer chest + maid dress + sch soul stone = maid shire chest when sch
shire healer chest + bikini top+ whm soul stone = beach time shire chest when whm
shire healer chest + wedding dress + astro soul stone = wedding shire chest when astro

on another note i would like then to remove job and role restrictions all together, i want to make my fisher a pirate but all the good looking pirate gear is combat classes only D; or sometimes i just want to be silly and be a healer in full plate armor or maybe just the linen shirt that is disciple of war only >.<

I concur...As someone who has the classic FF1 Black Mage glam for my BLM. When I switch to my SMN, people are so confused. Im a HUGE glam king (Ask my FC mate Rory) and I've spent MILLIONS of gil on glamours, for it to be wasted by having all my jobs on one role look EXACTLY THE SAME!

P.S. I even sacrifice ilvl so my jobs look different.

I completely agree, plz square. This is greatly needed. I main DRK but often use PLD and they have different themes. They should not look 100% alike.

Absolutely needed. Been asking for this for a while now, but no response, not even an acknowledgement. For a game that loves to give you content and sell it with the "You can use the drops for glamours!" line, they really do a very bad job of making the glamour system attractive. You keep selling glamour items for real money and creating so much in game content around glamours, it is actually very disrespectful to your playerbase to have the glamour system be so limited. I want my Dark Knight to look different from my Paladin and Warrior. I want my Botanist to look different from my Warrior.

If you are going to insist on churning out content where the drops are all "of fending" or "of healing" so you can create just 1 set instead of 3+ for a role, I understand. But you ABSOLUTELY have to provide us the means to glamour the jobs separately.

This is an absolutely need change to the game going forward. With every new class added to the game, this problem will continue to only grow as an issue for the playerbase.

The best way to fix this would be, like some others have said, is to use the otherwise kind of pointless job crystal as your glamour catalyst.

Just give the job crystal a "glamour" option in the drop-down menu and let it open a new "character" window for "glamour equipment" instead of normal equipment that will show up on your character for that class, regardless of what you actually have equipped. You could then add a "toggle glamour on/off" setting on the job crystal for when players want to see what equipment they're actually wearing.
