Talk of SCH, Dissipation, and Largesse

I have NEVER used Dissipation. Ever. I've never been in a situation where the loss of the fairy was outweighed by the 20% healing.

A deployed Crit-lo is more than enough for busters.

If Tanks are using their CD's properly, and with the 30s CD on Emergency tactics, healing a tank or a group is easy. ET > Succor > Indom is a ton of group healing. ET > Adlo is great, and if it crits can bring a tank from 10% to full. If it doesn't crit, a lustrate to follow and back to DPS.

Dissipation is quite frankly the worst skill in the game along with One-ilm punch. And one of those two is going away in Stormblood.

Friendly reminder. Dissipation is for the aetherflow stacks, not for the healing bonus. The healing bonus is to help you while you don't have the fairy. It's not a bad skill, you can use it to increase your DPS or when you need extra healing in a short period of time.

Dissipate healing buff has some use, along with the Aetherflow stacks. There were some finite situations like Seph Ex add phase for thicker shields for add damage, end of A12S adds phase as two examples. These areas had downtime after to hard re-summon.

Not sure if anyone mentioned it, but Dissipation wouldnt be as bad if it worked on all our skills. It only works on 3 of our skills. And we cant spam like the other 2 healers so its a let down it in that regard. I always suggested it should be the SCH version of Enkindle, and seeing as they both got Aetherpact, I was along the right lines. But maybe a "better" idea, is make it a toggled replacement skill instead, like the Ninjutsu or the cards. Dissipation and Consolidation. Dissipation would act as it does now, the Fairy dissipates so you get Aetherflow and extra healing, but instead of the skill going immediately on CD it changes to the Consolidation skill, like when you draw a card Draw changes to that card. You'll have 30 seconds to use the healing buff, after 30 seconds the fairy would consolidate itself (resummon) and things resume as normal. If you dont need the full 30 seconds just use Consolidation and your ready to go. The main reason the skill "sucks" is the resummoning, this would alleviate that.

Consolidation shouldn't be on demand, as the 30 seconds is a solid restriction because it gives you three immediate aetherize stacks, and that is technically the biggest strength of the skill. The 20% healing buff is to empower and offset the lack of the fairy, but it's the stacks that you typically end up using it for; if all you wanted was a divine seal then you probably already had Eos out anyway.

I do think the fairy being resummoned automatically after the dissipation ended would be a massive quality of life fix. Hell, compared to current implementation I wouldn't even mind if it switched the active fairy on us.

While I am not a huge fan of the way Dissipation works, I do have to admit that it will likely have gained an indirect buff in 4.0 by virtue of added synergy with Fey Union since the gauge is refilled by use of Aether stacks. Also, more stack usage increases the opportunity to proc CD reduction on Aetherflow itself.

Too early to say exactly how useful this benefit might be, but it's something to look out for.

Its just that its the least used level 60 ability.

I say remove the fairy lost (change the name if you must) and just give the fairy and sch a 20% healing increase, or just give the sch aetherflow. Then it would be used more willing.

I agree it has its uses now, but that makes it useless otherwise.
