    Crash with DX9 and DX11

Fresh install of the game off of Steam. I've been getting crashes on loading the game world. Not crash on starting the client; it's crashing when my character would load into the game. My specs:

    Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6600K CPU @ 3.50GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 - ASUS
    RAM 16 GB
    Microsoft Windows 10 (build 15063), 64-bit

Crash Messages (with DX9, minimum graphic settings):
    ffxiv.exe+CAB977
    ffxiv.exe+11E9EB
    ffxiv.exe+11F6E1
    ffxiv.exe+11FCE2
    ffxiv.exe+118B81
    ffxiv.exe+CA42A7
    ffxiv.exe+CA4331
    KERNEL32.DLL+18744

No overlays running in the background (disabled Steam's). I tried various graphic settings starting at maximum and turning everything down to minimum after consistent crashes. DX9 vs DX11 only changes the error messages; the result is the same type of crash.

Also have been trying each old NVIDIA drivers back to 381.65 but haven't had any success. Any suggestions?

I understand DX11 because that have issues but having DX9 is a bit odd. Clean uninstall nividia drivers and use DDU also. That should fix at least the DX9 issue

Been uninstalling completely with DDU for five different iterations of the NVidia drivers. No luck.

Restart in safe mode, into uninstall the drivers, into reboot into safemode for installing the older version of the driver. I've taken to calling it sacrificing more goats to the Final Fantasy Gods. Should I bathe my tower in newborn or virgin blood next?

*3 Hours later, a pale wan figure can be seen chanting in an ill-lit room. Smoke billows and wafts from his stylish aromatic candles.*

*He appears to be holding a piece of muenster cheese above a computer tower in fervent supplication.*

    Same Problem here,

I tried Reinstalled the game, graphics drive, Steam, Windows and no luck until now

The game crashes with no reason even using DX9 and Low Settings

    Think I fixed my problem.

There could be corrupted/incomplete files in there. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the game client and it solved the crash on loading the game world. I'm even able to jack the settings all the way to max and start adding in trouble (reshades, SweetFX).

FYI vestal sacrifices and muenster are the wrong approach and a complete waste. You need the blood of avocados to liquid cool your tower and aged cheddar to practice tyromancy.

Did you just re download the client/launcher from the FFXIV website then let the launcher download all the files?

It sounds like you are having the same issues as me. I just made a post about it, but I haven't been able to solve my issues yet.

I have re downloaded like 3-4 times now so I don't know if I'm still getting corrupted files or what.
