the way it is now...

1. I have abilities bound to shift+Q, W, E, R, A, S, D, F

2. i run with the WSAD (or strafe with Q, E)

3. I go to use one of the abilities bound to the keys in point #1 at the same time as running (example, running forward with W, i want to use my shift+E ability)

4. my character will stop running for as long as i have the shift key held down

5. it will start running again after i left off shift (basically, I can use the skill, but my char stops for a half second then continues running)

6. i think this is caused because FFXIV puts more priority over the keybinds than movement, and also due to the fact that skills activate on press rather than release. if it was on release, no conflict would occur, because i'm still running forward with W and haven't let go, so no ability is activated

is there anyway square enix can make an option to activate skills on release? or at least, try to fix this incompatibility? It's hard to find so many keybindings that make sense and are easy to reach without overlapping movement keys... it seems like such a basic thing for an MMO to have easily bindable abilities, but problems like this make me want to continue using my dual shock 4! lol
