Quest information is not appearing

I have been experiencing what I believe to be a glitch for 3 days now. When I accept Quests, and pull up the mini map, the markers telling me what area to go to (as well as the orange circles for certain quests) just do not appear. Pulling up the world map displays a quest icon and half the time not the quest name. This really impedes my gaming experience and no one else I know has experienced it, which has been frustrating to no end and I would just like to fix it. I can provide pictures if that would help. Only the up to five quests listed in the duty list show up on the minimap. Could this be what's happening?

No, I only have one, or two active at a time, and it still doesn't tell me anything unless I work backwards from the world map. I even tried disabling quests, and focusing on the one I have active and it still occurs. Even stranger I logged into my account via my GF's computer and then the problem was gone and the information would show up. So I'm at a loss. I even reset my local settings to default twice on my own PC to no effect.

There's a button on the map window along the left edge that lets you cycle between what you see. You probably hit that button by mistake without realizing it?

That's not the case either as that's been suggested and I've toggled it on and off like there's no tomorrow, and it still didn't fix the issue.
