This thread is not about how the new role actions work in a gameplay/mechanical sense.

I was kind of disappointed by all jobs of the same role sharing a singular action since I feel like it makes them less unique and interesting to play.

A major example for me: Esuna being a healer action now means that Scholar no longer has Leeches, which makes a lot more sense for a Scholar to be using since Esuna is a completely different type of magic than the magic that Scholars use in lore.

I feel it would make things more interesting if the role actions remained the same in terms of gameplay, but just had a different name/icon/animation depending on which job you were playing. I suppose one could argue this might be confusing but personally I enjoy the cosmetic and lore elements of the game a lot and felt it was kind of sad for things to be homogenised in this way - things looking cool and individual is part of the fun, you know?
