How much DPS is that going to be with a 90 second cool down between bursts? There's no way I'm healing for 90 seconds at a time at the moment. It's going to ax my DPS.

Then just keep attacking? Big whoop you got a little nerf to your damage but don't need to worry about Cleric not turning off when you need to heal. Tank damage is ALSO going down since its going back to STR instead of VIT, all this means is that DDs need to do their job while Healer damage is still nice to have while also being easier for newbie healers to get into.
But if this is what gets you to quit? Well, I hope you enjoy whatever else you play! Enjoy life!

It's interesting to put it in the context of the tank damage. But Cleric isn't something I "worry about" because when you've learned how to use it it's very rarely an issue, certainly not to the extent of wiping, and as has already been said if the idea is to make things easier then where does that end? I think losing this dynamic is going to degrade the experience of playing healing jobs, and that's why I've written about it here. Then just keep attacking? I will not miss it because I'll dps more without stance dancing, and I prefer more efficient gameplay, when 1/3 of my spells are not totally useless if I don't activate CS, often double clicking it and putting someone's life in danger.
What I don't like is new CS cross class buff is extremelly weak and extremelly short, maybe I'll take something more useful for a healer in its place.

With a 5% buff to damage potency instead of 10%, a 15 second limit instead of unlimited, and a 90 second cooldown. That's interesting.
Hitting (the current) Cleric Stance doesn't put anything else in cool down though. It's basically instant to switch.
Sounds like a problem with the interface rather than the game. I don't know how players using a mouse match the speed of those of us using a controller. But adding a 1 second cooldown on activating the current Cleric Stance would have fixed this.
Exactly.

Is Cleric Stance fun and usually (when you learn how to not get stuck in it) fun mechanic? Heck yeah!
Is it a good thing that it's gone, because it means that more healers will dps because there's nothing to be afraid of in doing so? Also heck yeah.
I'm going to miss CS, but I'm happy with the change. You can't please both sides; at least this way the dpsing healers definitely win and the non-dpsers don't have any excuses to pull now.

Do DPS-ing healers actually win? Right now I'm not sure they do.Is Cleric Stance fun and usually (when you learn how to not get stuck in it) fun mechanic? Heck yeah!

Dpsing healers win because non-dpsing healers don't have their biggest reason to pull now - "I might kill everyone by getting stuck in CS!" :P
I'm not going to speak for the majority of dpsing healers, but I'm guessing the majority does indeed approve of this even though it means dpsing is now simplified. In my opinion, CS didn't add much of any challenge once you got used to it anyways, and learned that 90% of the time it doesn't even kill anyone if you go into CS at the wrong time, and that you can't "accidentally turn it on" unless you hit the wrong button or don't realize that it queues it no matter what section of a spell you're in. All the change does is open healer dps up to the less confident players, while taking away a not-so-engaging mechanic anyways.
We MAY take a hit to our dps, but as Jiao noted: We have no idea if MND will be weighted higher in the damage calculation formula for healers than INT is now. We could do the same exact amount of damage. Even if we don't, it's 10% less, it's still contributing no matter what, so who cares?

To clarify. "Permanent Cleric" as it's being called is the change being made to the way healer damage is calculated. We now scale with MND instead of INT nullifying the need to have a stance that swaps our values.
