    It's not freaking central to ANYTHING but lazy design.
    Lazy design would be not having anything to press at all, which is effectively what we're going to end up with. A 90-second cooldown is way too long to include decent damage in a rotation the same way that is possible with the current functionality.

    If this was already stated, sorry. By "Permanent" Cleric Stance, this was meant to convey that Healer DPS is always based off of MND instead of INT as it is currently so while it is true that the way clerics works in the present is technically higher dps, I think it will be better in 4.0. We will be able to say Stone IV, Cure, Stone IV, etc. if need, you don't need clerics to do decent DPS, its just essentially a dps cooldown like other jobs have. What I hate about current clerics is the lack of a cooldown when turning it off cause I hate when you accidentally turn it back on right away because of smashing buttons. The potency loss tho seems to be in line with what is happening across the board for all roles, when looking at it from current potencies and such dps looks to be lower, it will still go up for levels, but I think it won't go up as much from 3.0-4.0 as it did from 2.0-3.0, this probably to try and delay the need of a stat squish like WoW did when numbers got insanely large.
