by saying i dont care for either its succession or its failure is the same as saying i dont want it to be great?
no, in fact it is saying i dont care if its great or bad because a games perceived greatness and badness are completely irrelevant to me.
i play games for certain aspects of content, that and that alone. guess what! i think skyrims battle system is on the same level of clunky as FFXI. neithers' battle system is any more enjoyable in my terms, yet i still play both for different reasons and i dont consider either to be neither great or bad.
