    Stormblood Bard: Quick Nock->Wide Volley?

From what we gained from the press event it appears Wide Volley is getting removed. It makes sense to remove it given that it saw no use because of its higher TP cost making it inefficient. Why not instead use the new upgrading system to have Quick Nock upgrade into Wide Volley and adjust its TP down to Quick Nock's current amount, or increase its potency by 10 so Bards can stay at range?

or upgrade it simply on the basis that wide volley looks 100% cooler. though you don't have to be THAT close for quick knock.

Wide Volley still had it's, rare use, lol
I agree about it looking way cooler, and rather be able to use that instead of quicknock

I used the CRAP outta Wide volley. It may have cost more TP, but the fact that I could use it from anywhere on a pack of mobs without having to worry about my position was worth it. Especially since I also used Invigorate with it when necessary.

I almost never used Quick Nock tbh. It was just more of a pain in the butt. That being said, I guess I'll be learning to use it real quick now with the removal of WV.

Combine the TP use of Quick Nock and the effect of Wide Volley. We'll call it Quick Volley.

Best of both worlds. I love it! (Provided it has wide volley's animation :P)

My biggest disappointment with all these skill removals is I'll never get to see their awesome animations in Group Pose...

Bards are supposed to be ranged dps, not get close dps.

I agree with this post, Wide Volley made me feel like an archer, quick knock doesn't.

Or, they could just make it another Dynamic Slot. At over 25 yalms from the target, it becomes Wide Volley, and you spend 10-20 more TP. At fewer than 25 yards, it's Quick Nock.
Personally, I'd have wanted to see Repelling Shot stay in the rotation, at which point it would have felt pretty great to have cross-synergetic procs on Quick Nock and Wide Volley.

It seems like SE is becoming gun-ho about crippling most forms of AoE, or at least niching them into certain jobs far more than others and balancing their power ONLY around level 70.

Bane has lost 43% damage against a 2nd target, 57.5% against a third, and 85% damage against the fourth target and beyond.
Fire II potency has been reduced by 20%.
Ring of Thorns has been removed and Doom Spike potency has been reduced by 23%.

Oddly enough, this has happened at the same time as others have been improved, such as Flare being more available through added mechanics and having decreased damage drop-off (100/85/70... up from 100/90/80/70/60/50...) while the new Foul AoE has almost thrice its potency.

Other AoE options have also become equally strong as and more consistent than their ST alternatives even against a single target (Painflare > Fester), making the other ST alternative (except to burn through stacks to rush DWT).

The less you allocate to terrain AoEs, the more mobile AoE, upon balancing, the class should have.

Personally I would have just preferred that in inflict a refreshing debuff of 15 seconds or so, while lasting maybe 10; then there's a lot less lost when using it on the move (say, 5-6 ticks, up from 1-2).

Their potencies were equalized when the RNG comboing procs from ARR were removed with the start of Heavensward.

Quick Nock was mechanically superior, but it's a shame such cool animations will not be seen again. Wide Volley is definitely the biggest hit to awesome visuals in the consolidation.
