    Well I find PotD boring most of the time too. I am watching Youtube there too so its not that much better than Dungeons. But its way more "interesting" or should I say "punishing" if you do it solo. This was the only reason that I have put in quite some hours in PotD. If you die there its over and if you want to go further than 100? Well time to restart again from 50 (or 1 if you wanted the title like me). I only now stopped doing it after getting my title because I read that you simply cant do the boss from 150/180 solo. Otherwise it at least provided some challenge solo, especially on jobs with little self-healing, since I simply dont have the time and people to do savage content. So I can understand that people still might like it better.

    Does not change the fact that the great exp you will get in a group is probably one of the biggest reasons that its still not death content.

    And taking subjective opinions aside: This game is mostly full with casual players. And next to maybe PotD and dungeons you barely have other content that you can do in a casual way (and I dont mean this as: bad player). I am quite good at my job and probably would be able to do savage content but I consider myself more casual since I simply dont have time and other stuff to do the hardest content. Others might lack skill or simply are not interested in that. Dungeons were one content that you at least could always have as a casual player. It might not be that interesting depending on the person but at least it was there. Yet we now get one less of this and we have no real clue what we will get otherwise that will us kept playing the game for at least the next 3 months. And things like savage boss after the real savage turn is not something that you can market to the casual player as worthwhile content for them. So for me this is not a good sign, especially since they managed way more in ARR..with three dungeons per patch. And now we get less and less.

    A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
