Some things you don't need to worry about. The new AST AoE heal Earthly Star is a neat move, and it plays well off people who know a fight. You can drop it in a stack spot and let it build up, then pop it after a scheduled AoE attack for solid results. A good reactionary move if you know the fight but with a time-delay mechanic that is part of the AST design base. Its analog is SCH's excogitation which is equially interesting, as it's the ultimate safety for those raid moments when the boss hits the tank with a buster and then follows immediately with an auto-attack. Remember seeing tanks keel over if the follow up heal was a little mistimed? Well, not anymore! Probably the closest mechanic-wise they'll let us get to reraise.
AST shields are better, but their accompanied healing is not, so we'll just see how that goes. Regardless with chain strategem you don't really have to worry about SCH falling off because that's a useful enough utility that AST isn't going to domineer the shielding spot. They'll be able to cover it, but it shouldn't be an issue no matter which role the AST takes. SCH shields are still strong, and you can actually still make them stronger with the shared divine seal, as it effects adlo more than aspbene due to the higher healing potency. I wouldn't worry about this, in other words.
I won't say anything refuting the DPS issue because honestly it's bad. Really bad. They took all the toys away and left nothing in their place. Two dots, Bane nerfed to hell and absolutely no other AoE to speak of, and shadowflare on a 60 second cooldown... yeah, SCH are probably lowest tier AoE DPS in the game. :-[
Where is this Aetherflow 10% coming from? The videos I check still list it as 20% in their tooltip. Did someone just misread the level 68 talent which gives a 20% chance to reduce the Aetherflow cooldown by 10 seconds? Also you can role-buy the regen skill as well if you like (and we probably will).
