    I suppose it will depend on how large the dps/tank damage gap becomes but at least in a dedicated static between shirk, all dps aggro cross class aggro dumps and shadewalker if you have a ninja. The damage gap would have to be tremendous to require me to be in grit anymore. Outside of statics where that can be coordinated I think you are absolutely right that the story will be different.

    Yeah, looking at the hate tools in Stormblood I don't think that tank stance will be that needed unless things hit really hard. Tank swaps with Shirk will keep the MT well ahead of everyone else, and Ninja opener is already OP. Not only that, but in a paladin/drk comp, both tanks can help each other out with tank busters (Cover, Blackest Night, Intervention, Passage of Arms). Seems pretty strong without any tank stance.

    Doubt dps tanking is going to be anywhere near viable in SB. Heck Shirk might be needed so that undergeared tanks can hold hate after a tank swap even if the dps and healers are using their enmity tools.
