Raids and dungeons still relevant after expansion?

I'm lvl 57 and still of course trying to hit lvl 60 before HS drops but even when it does I would still like to do end game content before the trek to 70...you guys think there will still be ppl doing those or will everyone be moving on? Wasn't sure if there was really a reason to still be doing it or maybe all the gear will be useless or something like that maybe from even quest items or dungeon drops.

Most people will be busy doing all the new level 70 stuff for a few weeks but sometime later you can expect SE to find a way to bring us all back to old content.

Well new content for me anyways lol. I'm wondering maybe some ppl will be around the old stuff depending on how bad the lvl grind is lol. But yeah if I can't right off then that's fine I'm sure ppl will come around. I'm not even sure about raids though cause I'm not that high yet and my FC only has like 10 ppl in it... And wasn't sure how duty finder did that either.

Unfortunately once SB hits you're going to be stuck doing all older content unsynced. It'll be extremely difficult to get a group together to do ex primals/savage raids at a normal level because SE thinks everything needs to be made accessible to everyone.

So u will pretty much be able to do anything from duty finder? I don't mind trying a couple times with randoms as long as I get to. That can definitely be a bad thing after awhile though lol. I just hate that since I started the game so late that I don't wanna skip anything especially all this stuff and I don't want to when the expansion drops.

For a while people will be busy with the Stormblood story, so Heavensward content will be less popular. However, a lot of people will be leveling Red Mage and Samurai though (myself included for the former), they both start at level 50 so some Heavensward dungeons will still be run often enough (DPS queues might be insane though). And people will still be doing the roulettes for some tomestones. So in terms of duties in roulettes you should be fine. EX Primal fights and others might be harder to get a party for.

I would suggest finding a free company or linkshell with people who would be willing to queue into that content with you. The wait times might otherwise be very long for those queueing solo as DPS.

Yeah I'm thinking the queue times are gonna be nuts lol. But since I'm still doing story mission quests I don't really mind the wait since I do one while I'm doing the other. Is there any sites recommend to apply for FCs or see which one are looking for ppl?

its either that or no one will ever do the content ever again outside of maybe some fcs doing it once in a blue moon

I imagine that story required dungeons will stay relevant as you will still have to do them. The queue times will probably increase but oh well. Raids are in a different boat. They will most likely be neglected except for WT,
achievements, or glamour. Extreme trials will probably be relegated to unsynced WT runs. This is just speculation of course.
