[dev1206] Guild Mark Reimbursement

First of all, not sure where this should be posted, because I don't see any other topics with [dev] tags in here, but it's definitely a suggestion.

Being the impatient player that I am...when Grand Companies came out, I rushed to get my chocobo and didn't really pay much attention to the items that were available from the other Grand Companies. So I grabbed crappy Lv30 weapons from the other two Grand Companies and chose The Flames. At this time, playing since April, I haven't touched a single craft or gathering class and didn't want to until I had at least one class at 50 and had the time to put into both, and the time to understand how they both worked. After getting prepared and comfortable to begin both, I was told that there is an excellent Lv25 body piece for both crafting and gathering:

The Lominsan Doublet Vest (Craftsmanship +20 / Gathering+20)

Disappointingly enough, I didn't pick this up, either not noticing it, or not caring about the stats since I avoided the DoH and DoL classes until now. I just reached 25MIN and 25ARM, two classes that would greatly benefit from this body piece. I was told not to fret, that eventually SE would allow us to spend our seals on other Grand Company's items, but I guess it's not going to be possible in 1.20. -____-

So now that Guild Mark's are being done away with, and SE still hasn't confirmed that we can do with them, a few suggestions come to mind:

1. Compensate us in universal Company Seals
2. Compensate us in Company Seals for that city's company in which the guild is located
3. Allow us to purchase items like let's say, the Lominsan Doublet Vest from any of the required class's Guild Mark Vendor
4. And of course, the option to receive seals, gil, etc as compensation

I'd really like the dev team to see this and hopefully these options can be taken into consideration. Help from everyone else would be great, thanks!

Discussion is ongoing whether to devise alternate uses for guild marks or do away with them completely. In the case of the latter, we will provide players with a means to exchange their marks for gil, company seals, and items. Details will be announced pending finalization.

SE aren't sure what to do with them at the moment, but they have stated that if they do get rid of Guild Marks, then company seals could be a form of reinbursment.

I'd be ok with Company seals or Gil as Trade-in, the option to pick between those two seems best.
(Since there's a Seals cap in place already)

Or better yet, they can make versions for the other 2 grand companies so people don't feel forced to join a company because it has better equipment.

OH! Yeah! Duh! I meant to put that in as well! You're so right, not only feel forced to join a company because of it's equipment, but to feel regret that I didn't join with another. Ughhh, I'm so pissed still man.

Wish this could be/is implemented in 1.20. I'm praying that I'll be able to get my vest (or one with the same stats) after this patch so that I can feel at ease continuing ARM! Pleaseeeeeeeeee SE! Please tell me it isn't the end of the world! XD
