Job guages to start combat

Anyone know if the job guages like with the tanks, samurai, rdm mana etc will empty out outside of combat or when entering a duty? Just curious if we're going to start a trial by having to raise our blood guage/ sen/ kenki/ blackwhite mana or if we'll be smacking a striking dummy before entering trials so we can start out with the biggest burst possible. I'm expecting it to work with the latter, just means it may be time to start preparing when you hear that duty pop

No way to know right now unless someone from the media tour mentions it, but I doubt any paid attention to that.
