subscription fee starting is not right

i have been playing since day one. i bought the collectors edition, i bought the cryse or whatever they are called, and have somewhat enjoyed playing.
i dont believe that the fees should start until the 1.20 patch is released, as then it may possibly be something like a complete game and not a work in progress.
the graphics are great, and they atleast give my computer a bit of a workout, but other than that i feel that the game has not lived up to the hype, let alone the $100 [us] i have invested in the game.
i still have the nintendo version of final fantasy, and bought a play station in order to play final fantasy. i invested 3+ years on computer playing final fantasy online, and in each case i felt that i recieved more that full value for my money.
i have pretty much given up on the game several months back, and the bit of hope i see for the game is the 1.20 patch, and i refuse to pay more money just to be let down again.
try starting the fee one month after 1.20 patch is live and i will atleast give serious thought to paying.
as i see it right now, the game is NOT worth $10 a month, and i will now renew my subscription, as i feel that i am being sold a "bill of goods", being told" look how great it will be after the 1.20 patch", and i dont want to be fooled again. good luck to all who stay, if they have a free trial of the 2.0 version i will try it, but i will not pay for it until i am sure it will be a real final fantasy game and not the uetiful empty game it is now.

I completely agree with OP.

Also OP you should of done research before commenting, subscription is in 6th January not on patch. So you have to spend your whole Christmas playing the game to decide if you want to stick it out or not. Then you have a good idea of if you should stay.

Ranting threads about stuff they don't know anything about are so annoying, especially when 80% of the wall of text are just a "I invested XX amount of money in the FF franchise" and "I invested so and so much time in the FF franchise".
Seriously, nobody cares.
Everyone in this forum bought some edition of FFXIV, otherwise they wouldn't be here.,.

It's not that. It's more of the fact that people keep on voicing the OP's opinion over and over, when unfortunately, it's not going to change. Billing is coming, so it's time to deal with it or move on. The opinion isn't a "waste of time" because of "white knights", it's a waste of time because SE has made their decision.

Unless this isn't what you meant this is practically what they're doing. Billing starts 1/6, 1.20 drops 12/14. I suspect some people will wait till 1.21 (when the jobs cometh) before they make their final decision on whether or to keeping pay or start paying. It's a personal choice/dilemma, no need to rehash it here.
