Most people serious about gathering probably allready had there own maps made for the most part. Hopefully it doesn't just ping only the active nodes otherwise we may as well not even have harvesting skills related to find finding them.

I hate this kind of thinking, not everyone wants to make custom made maps.

There is a large difference between being lazy and being user friendly, generally lazy players don't even gather anyway.

^this. Just like any other map markers or various indicators put into the game it really doesn't make anything inherently easier. It just more readily displays information which we still have to act upon.
