I guess the title says it all, any info would be great, thanks!

It's my understanding that jobs will have the same weapons as the main class they are derived from. You'll equip a job stone to change to your class, but the weapon stays the same.
Thank you! So I'm guessing they won't be implementing any dual one handed swords or great sword classes till maybe 2.0 or at all?
Not right now, at least. Hopefully when 2.0 comes around, they'll give us a few new classes, which will mean new weapons, but there's no guarantee of that or what it would be. For now, you're stuck with what we got. ^_^
Around patch time, without fail.. tons of questions arise on things that have had multiple topics in the past.
Well there has been some rumblings of two handed swords going to gladiator.
Yoshi also mentioned breaking daggers away from the glad arsenal and making those the basis for a new "scout" class.
outside of that all we know is the flint lock pistols will be used by musketeer and those really odd staffs will be used by archanist.

Yoshida mentioned trying to bring out new classes (which will wield different weapons). Maybe one of the new ones will dual wield or use a greatsword, but not after 2.0. Yoshida only mentioned trying to bring new variants before 2.0 is possible and I'm almost sure it will be Beastmaster or Red Mage.
