(Question) Which Final Fantasy/Square RPG prior to PS2 would you want them to remake?

I stumbled upon this interview with Takashi Katano, Lead Director of FF12: The Zodiac Age in where he got asked in which RPG would be next to be remade from prior to the PS2. His answer was: “We really have to hear their voices on that, if they want to see a remake or a remaster of a certain game then that's more likely to be the one we go for. I've personally been working at Square Enix for 20 years now and I've got a lot of memories from that time. I think the way that we look at it is not the game that we would like to remake it's really down to what the players, the fans, want to see."

So I would love to hear you thoughts on this.....which RPG from Square's past prior to the PS2 would like them to remake?

P.S. Stormblood is just around the corner.....what also are you guys excited for in Stormblood?

My choices are as follows:

1. FF6/FF3(US)
2. Chrono Trigger
3. Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars(Hoping SE and Nintendo work again like before)

Obviously, FF7, which they are remaking are now.
Then original Final Fantasy Tactics, was such an awesome game with great story, people really have to give it a try.
And SaGa Frontier, WOW. Really, WOW. So many memories playing each story line.

That is it really, I wouldn't mind playing FF8 either, but some battle mechanics have to change, didn't enjoy the battles as much.

General Discussion related to FFXIV, it's not a 'talk about anything and everything' section - the GMs usually close threads like this, unless there is some connection to FFXIV in it, as stated here. If you want to talk about the FF series in general you're meant to use the main SE forums for that.
