    I'm glad they implemented the spellcasting changes. It's obviously going to take time to get used to since we've been playing for over a year with spellcasting while moving, but I remember my first reaction to the original spellcasting was "huh?!? this is weird."

    One problem I'm seeing with this is it seems like a lot of tanks and DDs are forgetting that we can't cast while moving anymore. They need to stop running around out of range like we can keep up and heal. If the rest of the party would be more cautious about their position, it wouldn't be so bad. I don't get the casting glitch when I use the facetarget function, which is just another thing to get used to.

    So pretty much, DDs and tanks!!! THINK before you decide to kite mobs out of the healer's range. To the healers that don't want to get used to change and just whine about wanting the old system back..... have fun keeping ballad on me.

    True story.

    I'm still fairly new to this particular game, so when grouping up to do job bosses, I found it VERY odd that all a tank seems to do is run around the mulberry bush and kite mobs instead of actually tanking them. Not only does this mean that they don't seem to pull adequate aggro in order to offset the healing they need, but, like you said, it makes them harder to heal after the patch.

    While movement is often necessary in any battle, in any MMO, it should not be a constant affair. This isn't an action-adventure game, nor is it a FPS. Tanks need to stand still and tank things in a consistent manner, except for when battle mechanics demand otherwise. Anything else is simply asking for a wipe.

    You can just see how bad it is in their video, which makes it worse cuse the video is by the JP Devs, In house, should be freaking instant yet it has a 1 second delay from when he starts running to when it actually cancels.

    Confirm Spell 0:25
    Run: 0:26
    Cancels: 0:28

    2 second delay! not 0.3

    Likely cant be fixed until v2.0 with the bad servers, but that is where I see the problem.

    I think we all know that the current game client is inherently flawed, and it isn't any fault of the current team. It is frustrating, it's true, but it is also to be expected with what they/we have to work with.

    I would prefer the auto response of "will be fixed in v2.0" and have more hope for v2 than for Yoshi to be like "nah man its 0.3 seconds, its all fine!" XD

    Since 99% of the posts here are 100% subjective (which, is fine, we're all entitled to our opinions - but that's just what they are, opinions) I'll add mine:

    Game released with spell casting while moving... I thought it was "alien" to me, but of course I adapted and I got used to it.

    1.21 came out and removed spell casting while moving... I thought it was "alien" at first, but again I got used to it.

    As a WHM I can only not heal someone if they decide to go all "Dora the Explora" on my and run way out of my range for w/e ADHD reason they have. Same with on PLD - whether kiting or not, I can heal myself (and others just fine - unless they fall into the "Dora" category).

    Basically, 1.21 helped me realize that casting while running around like I'm on fire was really just a crutch for players who couldn't stand still for 4 seconds to cast a spell. Now, after 1.21, and using /facetarget in all my macros, I can run around to avoid any AoE/ground mechanics all while being able to quickly stop to cast without getting interrupted.

    Less "easy mode" - I like it. Keep it up Yoshida and the dev teams! I look forward to more of it in the future!

    Because it adds more flavor~ to the battles. It makes fighting in groups more interesting. Before this change, people in parties were able be off in their own world, doing their own thing like they're soloing. Of course they were able to do this for other reasons too, but one factor that contributed to this happening was that healers were able to easily run around and support reckless gameplay. Now that we can't, the people that continue to play recklessly not thinking about position are going to die and think the healer's bad. And then the healers that feel like they're flawed because they can't do the impossible whine about not being able to do their job.

    In other words, the ability to cast while moving was not balanced. Not just for pvp, but for anything that is done in parties. Why? Because it allowed people to do things they shouldn't be allowed to do.
