    How are people having such a big problem with this? On white mage, I've never had my tank run out of health because I was running and couldn't cast or he was running out of my casting range. It's like 5 days after patch, you haven't gotten totally used to it yet and if you play all the time, well you suck >.>

    I love this change. It's not as bad as everyone is making it out to be and save it for 2.0 because of lag is dumb excuse. The lag isn't that bad. That's why they added the movement thing by your tp bar. If the cast still goes off, that means you stood there for that long for he spell to go off. You've been having THAT since the game released.

    I actuallly like the new system that much more. Ifrit is fun to run to another person's area and stop to heal them in case they die.. all the while eruptions are going off, etc. Lol it actually makes mages more exciting to me. People that find this a hassle don't work around the "lag" that happens.

    Give it a couple more days and people won't be on this anymore. Currently the only problem with spellcasting is sometimes the spells won't start casting at all, which isn't even related to movement. I think it's a glitch in the system.

    Yeah it happens A LOT with attack spells for me. If I'm targetting the tank and decide to nuke, I press the skill and nothing happens and acts like it's trying to go off on my targetted person. It won't even let me go through the targets after I select the spell.

    Right, because the Chimera battle looks so much more challenging since it rewards static position for all minus the tank.
    So lets recap...

    Before spellcast movement - Battles such as Ifrit that forces you to move as eruptions can happen anywhere on the map.
    After spellcast movement - Battles such as Chimera whose equivalent of eruptions/plume are static on the map.
