I would prefer the auto response of "will be fixed in v2.0" and have more hope for v2 than for Yoshi to be like "nah man its 0.3 seconds, its all fine!" XD

Okay i think we've got a consensus here.
back to the old system until we get the new 2.0 servers.
Devs, are you reading?
Maintenance this week please.

Since 99% of the posts here are 100% subjective (which, is fine, we're all entitled to our opinions - but that's just what they are, opinions) I'll add mine:
Game released with spell casting while moving... I thought it was "alien" to me, but of course I adapted and I got used to it.
1.21 came out and removed spell casting while moving... I thought it was "alien" at first, but again I got used to it.
As a WHM I can only not heal someone if they decide to go all "Dora the Explora" on my and run way out of my range for w/e ADHD reason they have. Same with on PLD - whether kiting or not, I can heal myself (and others just fine - unless they fall into the "Dora" category).
Basically, 1.21 helped me realize that casting while running around like I'm on fire was really just a crutch for players who couldn't stand still for 4 seconds to cast a spell. Now, after 1.21, and using /facetarget in all my macros, I can run around to avoid any AoE/ground mechanics all while being able to quickly stop to cast without getting interrupted.
Less "easy mode" - I like it. Keep it up Yoshida and the dev teams! I look forward to more of it in the future!

Of course i respect your opinion but that's basically the only Pro spellcasting interruption thing you said in your post.
i don't care if people can deal with the current mechanics (i can deal with it too if i have to).
my simple question is - what did the change actually improve?
how did it make the game better?

If you respect my opinion, why are you questioning it? My opinion was for Yoshida and the Dev Team(s). Clearly from all your posts in this thread there is nothing that will change you perspective on casting spells while moving - which is fine, that's why it's called your "opinion". Neither I, nor yourself, have any factual claim, any objective, empirical information that could be used to make an actual intellectual argument for or against casting while moving. Though we could claim to have an argument by listing out premises that were based purely on situational circumstances,we would be wrong to list those as logical premises because in the world of software development, and specific to creating the world of an online video game, circumstantial situations can be created/altered/removed/tweaked/etc. as needed - which would ultimately render any argument using any such as premises as simply being invalid.Of course i respect your opinion but that's basically the only Pro spellcasting interruption thing you said in your post.

TL;DR (I guess that's for the people who don't like reading or w/e) - your opinion is yours, and mine is mine. They made changes to the game and I like it; which is why I continue to play it. It's really that simple.

About the 0.3s, you're quoting only half the sentence. He accurately said:
This can take up to 0.3 seconds for transferring packets, plus the response time.

Hope you know this will never happen. And just you didn't realized, we got this system right now so we can get used to it before 2.0. We'll still get this system at that time, so instead of cry because you suck learn anew to cast. You'll do it in every case.
