

yeah I found it annoying for a the first few final AF fights but quickly adjusted and things are back to normal, I dont even need to use /facetargetLOVING the new changes to spellcasting, finally some more challenge being brought to being a caster in that your positioning is key and you can't just run around casting without a worry! Strangely enough I haven't seen one person in game complain about it either. Seems like most people are OK with this change and are managing! ^_^ (At least as far as I have seen.)
Oh, and I side note, I thought I would be all about the BRD but I am now in love with BLM! xD


Before you had to deal with stuff like being cast lock so it wasnt all walk in the park. If you dint know how to manage MP on moogle or when to cast on ifrit you were screwed.

It took me all of 1 day to get used to the new casting specs... it makes things more challenging, more fun. Stop asking to be spoonfed everything...




there's a major difference between challenge and annoyance. the changes with the lag issues and the spells glitching out are an annoyance and not challenging.

you are the only mage i have talked to that has stated that then. i've been hearing non stop in game and on these forums about casts that just stop themselves, have no animation showing the spell is casting, showing the progression bar of the spell, and having to have to hit a spell repeatedly for them to go off. i have been having those exact same issues so i can't say they are the only ones having the issue.
those issues are not increases in challenge, but more along the lines of bad design and programming along with lack of proper q&a.

Eh. Most of my LSmates haven't reported any such problems. We've all gotten used to it and we've already beat all the old content with just jobs even when just expecting to test it out and wipe. Yes, running with your party through stuff and not being able to cure them is fun. Not being able to buff them is fun. Stoping and realizing your spell isnt going off after watching it cast is fun. You sir mistake retarded mechanic with challenging.
It's a widely-used mechanic throughout MMOs. It's a normal mechanic. I was really worried that it would make things impossible for Moogles and Darkhold. It doesn't. I'm basing what I say on experience, a shared one, at that.
You know what I do in order to cure my tank? I tell him to stop for a second so I can toss a Cura and a Regen on him before he starts running off again. Amazing, right?
