    The "moving interrupts casting" is an appropriate mechanic if your game functions on a near 1:1 server/client ratio (ala World of Warcraft.) Unfortunately, with the terrible server/client relationship of XIV, the moving while casting is quite meddlesome.

    As it stands, I'd rather have them keep casting the way it is now and then ensure that we don't have to deal with INERTIA at all in 2.0. This way, the stop/go/jump/cancel nature of the game will be intuitive and won't have awkward pauses or barriers before you can begin to cast. Inertia is/was just a terrible idea in the first place.

    I think Yoshi-P deals with criticism very well, especially compared to devs like Greg Street from Blizzard. He explains why being rude makes his job harder, instead of calling the poster a "troll" or being even more of a jerk back to him. It's nice to see a producer/director who is up front and direct in an appropriate and honest manner. If a community manager reads this, please pass that onto Yoshida-san, if you can. I'd like him to know that his manner and efforts in regard to the playerbase are appreciated. It is very obvious that he goes above and beyond for us.

    Unfortunately, I do still have to disagree with his feelings on how cast interruption should work. Now that movement cancels spells, I am able to simply tap forward to stop casting. Due to lag and targeting issues, it is very easy to accidentally cancel an action, and that can mean death while soloing, or a wipe if it happens to a healer. The plan to add a feature to turn it off is probably ideal, if he can't come up with another way of working around it. Still, I can tolerate it for the time being, and I understand he is working very hard and has much to do at once. He and his team are doing a great job. Keep up the great work!

    i'm getting to the same opinion myself. you do NOT add things that take away from a bad game and then turn and say don't worry the fix is being worked on and will be ready in a year. this option may have been fine after the server and other lag issues were taken care of in 2.0, but at this point and time it was a horrible decision.

    I loved playing conj and was planning on main WHM after the update but now I despise casting classes. There are so many instances when we have to run from place to place and stay on the move that it makes party play incredibly frustrating. I was satisfied with the previous system, I have no idea why this was implemented.
    I guess one step forward, two steps back again.

    i am the exact same way towards thm. that's especially counting the spells that just cancel themselves without any reason.

    I agree..I HATE this interrupt while moving crap! CNJ was my favorite class..now I find myself constantly getting frustrated and people dying because of this...:S

    The reason they made it that way was cause people demanded PvP. And you can't have mages be able to run and nuke at the same time if you want PvP. I for one could care less if we get PvP or not but other then fixing a little here and there idm the new casting system. And now I'm curious about the spells Yoshi-P was talking about for the future that you can cast while moving.

    LOVING the new changes to spellcasting, finally some more challenge being brought to being a caster in that your positioning is key and you can't just run around casting without a worry! Strangely enough I haven't seen one person in game complain about it either. Seems like most people are OK with this change and are managing! ^_^ (At least as far as I have seen.)

    Oh, and I side note, I thought I would be all about the BRD but I am now in love with BLM! xD
