Mogstation poll

None of these really cover my position. There are items on the Mogstation that I want and I have bought some. The price is a bit high, but doesn't really bother me. What bothers me is that the relative volume of new additions to the cash shop when compared to relative new additions to the game of similar items in the same time period is astronomical. I'll pay $7 for an emote, but I don't want to be paying $7 for an emote every month while none or virtually none are being added to the game. Furthermore, the only reason I'm willing to pay $7 for an emote that is limited to one character is because the design of the game is such that I have no desire for alts.

Even SWTOR with its hybrid cash shop-sub model gives subscribers free cash shop currency that they can save up to buy stuff they want without spending additional real money.

Those are the prices for WoW's Cash Shop. They are all either nearly equal to or more expensive than FFXIV. Why would Square Enix charge a third of the price when people buy everything rather consistently?

For what it's worth, not only are those helmets account-wide, but despite being some of the oldest items in the cash shop, they're almost certainly some of the least widely owned.
