You have a very good point people should think a bit more before complaining.Seriously. You guys don't just bite the hand that feeds you. You rip SE's bloody arm off after they give you a 5 course meal.
Their a business. This is a game. Vanity items are just that, vanities and are completely optional. Having actually played a shit mmo like ESO I'm bloody thankful for all the stuff SE has put out.

This may come as a surprise, but we're the ones feeding them.
Mind you, a lot of these complaints could be done with a little more basic tact and decency, but they shouldn't be just silenced. That's too far in the other direction.
Happy mediums can exist. We don't need to be aggressive about everything all the time.

I'll stop complaining when i am content with the service i have been given.Seriously. You guys don't just bite the hand that feeds you. You rip SE's bloody arm off after they give you a 5 course meal.

"bite the hand that feeds you" goes both ways.
The poor horse. It's been beaten so badly it's not recognizable as a horse anymore.

People will complain just about anything here. It is the most toxic forum for ffxiv (or at least one of the top ones)
And i kind of like ESO, at least they have instanced housing... lol
The "complaints" about mog station and items are, imho, some of the more legitimate complaints on this forums. Considering all the other stuff we bitch about, I'd say mog station complaints are at the bottom of the list as far as annoyances go.

I agree. Complaining is natural. It also relieves stress. Plus feedback = feedback.
I'd like to take this oppurtunity to complain about people complaining that theyre entitled to have everything for free. Because its baby steps away from people complaining that they dont want to grind for stuff "because theyre paying a sub".
i'm just gonna blow up on your reply since it's right here, but i'm not trying to call you out or anything. I think people on most sides of issues that are discussed on the forums are usually being too dramatic and overblown regardless of topic.I agree. Complaining is natural. It also relieves stress. But, i don't see that bitching about the Mogstation is anywhere close to feeling 'entitled to have everything for free'. I've repeated this before and I think most people who are of this opinion agree with me, everything should be attainable in-game. Period.
There is plenty of content in-game that could use a new spiffy reward to draw players back into it. But because people would rightly complain if in-game rewards were also available for real money SE is forced to make a decision where new content will end up. Since they are OK with some content only being available from outside the game, we get unique Mogstation items that can't be attained in game, that's just reality.
But to excuse it because it's a smart business decision is wrong as hell. It's a cynical business decision, and it always takes something away from the game when they spend resources making a mount or outfit but don't tie it to any in-game content. We can hash out all day whether they're spending their resources right, or if this content just wouldn't exist if not for the Mogstation, but I'd love to ask SE to at least try their best to keep things from being only available for cash in the Mogstation
People who dislike the situation have as much a right to complain about it, as much as folks who don't mind and/or like it have the right to voice support of it.
I mean I certainly don't agree at all with the cash shop outrage, but I'm not going to tell them they shouldn't voice their opinions. I mean I'll argue with 'em, just cause that's what you do on the Internet but there isn't any need to demand their silence.
