...Is it only appalling because its something people actually want?
If it was ugly, would anyone care?
The items in question are from the Chinese and Korean Servers, they had to pay for them to obtain them as well/they were limited time availability. SE can't just turn around and say, well the JP, NA and EU servers get it for free, but the Chinese and Koreans, they have to pay.
That's the business standpoint they were working from, if they just make it free here, they create strife with those who paid to obtain those items because they look at the other servers and go "Hey why are these free?". So of course you have to charge for them.
The Fuga Attire and the Eastern Stretch aren't from the Korean or Chinese severs though... >x>The items in question are from the Chinese and Korean Servers, they had to pay for them to obtain them as well/they were limited time availability. The appalling thing to me is that this stuff is never storable, so not only am I paying real money for it but I'm also spending 2 inventory slots on it.
Business is business, I have notice alot lately every event we have that one of these things pop up with new items well they gave us something free for in game so now they are charging us for something else just gota deal wit it
Well it is. People not purchasing theme Isthe only thing that will lower the prices. Like it or not they are a business. Consumers are ultimately the ones that have to decide if the product is worth it or not.

Im perfectly fine with SE putting Tons of Glamours in the Mog Store as long as its Glamour and NO REAL Armor with high end Stats.

This isn't how businesses generally work. If people chose not to buy the items, they wouldn't abruptly release them for free. They just wouldn't make any of them, period. It's the same with DLC in other games. Due to the exceptional costs involved with game design, publishers have looked for other avenues to earn profit. Granted, I certainly wouldn't excuse greed being a factor but don't presume you would get all this stuff if "people would just stop buying it!" Sadly, we wouldn't.SE is a business! As such, they respond to sales - and ploys that lead to poor sales don't get repeated. This doesn't cross the mind of the Balmung or the Idyllshire crowds, however, who'd buy the glamour sets if they cost £20 just to have the newest items to stand around and AFK in. And because of this, we're now at the point where we're being charged higher prices for half an outfit and a re-vamped existing emote. Congratulations, you've surely shown us grouchers!
Why not make them a reasonable price so they actually make the sales they want? Why bet on a few that will pay 20-30-40-50-60-70 dollars:This isn't how businesses generally work. instead of saying 5 so more people buy it? Sure maybe 100 people buy it for 18 but what about 10000 buying it for 5 dollars? 18 dollars for a glam needs to be account wide. It does not cost them a thing to adjust the price to make it appealing to more people, how do you have a "shortage" of supply on digital content?
