This thread is appaling.
We have it every single time.
Delete the thread, give the OP an official warning and move on.

Kids these days, concerned over what others are going to do when it's none of there business.
Item shop is here to stay, should probably accept that.
If you do not like the prices, I'm sure they will have a far eastern themed sale soon.

That's nice that you feel that way, but I don't believe that's the argument being portrayed in the thread.
A good number of us are cool with the cash shop and have made purchases from it, but the pricing is starting to get a bit ridiculous.
No one is concerned with what you're doing, trust me.
Act in such a way that you treat humanity, whether in your own person or in the person of another, always at the same time as an end and never simply as a means

I tend not to trust people on forums. Besides I was not talking of the people commenting, mostly just the op. But go on, continue with your childish banter. That's nice that you feel that way, but I don't believe that's the argument being portrayed in the thread.

I have a question for people: Would you rather your sub fee go up or have a cash shop you are under no obligation to use? Because getting everything currently on the cash shop for your $15 a month never was, and never will be, on the table.

Not what we're asking for at all. (well some, but eh)
Many are miffed on the pricing of the latest outfit because it's not only high compared to other MMOs, but also high compared to other stuff they've got in the shop.
Take Y'shtola's modish attire for example - $15 for 5 items (coat, boots, gloves, pants, hair), I'd like to say that's a pretty fair price considering what you're getting.
Now the Fuga attire - $18 for 2 items (coat, pants)
People are (rightly) starting to feel a bit ripped off - many of us have and do use the cash shop; we understand that gaming nowadays, especially MMOs, has a heavy part in DLC, cash shops etc and that's fine! But at the same time as consumers we have a right to say "Hey, now come on..." When we feel that people are starting to get greedy.
Now I know people have and will fire back and say "It's SE, they can charge what they want!", which is also true, they can, just as I the consumer can also leave my feedback in this forum and say that I'd actually be more inclined to spend extra money with them if they rethought their pricing. Not asking for freebies, handouts, or everything to be covered by our sub fee... But I am asking for a bit of a rethink when it comes to pricing.
As a head's up for those assuming that those who are voicing their displeasure are either kids, unemployed, and/or broke, and also those wanting to flaunt how much disposable income they have (there's been a few) - personally I have a lot of disposable income (the joys of being childless, having my house paid off, and working in an extremely lucrative field) but I still think that some of the prices in the cash shop are beyond what is worth paying. I think this latest outfit was kinda like the last nail in the coffin for some; almost double the price of a monthly sub for two items that aren't even account wide.
At what point will you (the general 'you') draw the line and say "Hey, hold on..." ? Will you still be ok if they start charging $30? $50? Everyone has a line somewhere, but remember that when you reach it and start to feel ripped off "SE can charge whatever they want.". And yes, we know, we have the option to not buy it (so we're not! Amazing!)
As a final note - I don't care what folks spend their cash on, rock on if you think the $18 or whatever you spend is worth it to you.
Have an awesome day folks~

The one argument that I see over and over in here that absolutely blows my mind is the insistence that the items are taking time from development for the game so it's part of the game. Huh? Are you the developer? Do you know what assets they have laying around that were rejected for one reason or another for the general release of the game?
There are a hundred reasons that could explain why a model exists but isn't included in the game. Not to mention the simple possibility that they have a crew who works only on cash shop items. You don't know why it exists and they probably aren't going to tell you, so it's a garbage argument. And really, who cares? The dev time for 1 outfit isn't going to give me a glamour log to put it in anyway.
Plus, the whole idea reeks of entitlement. It's like if you subscribed to a comic book and expected every piece of merch the artist makes to come with it.
Well said, and i think people need to stay away from making threads that mock those with such concerns:Not what we're asking for at all. (well some, but eh)

http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...-station-items!
Can't we have a subject in a single thread please? like try not to have 5 WHM DPS threads, 5 lily threads, 5 mog station threads, is this why we do not get rep replies?
