Something tells me.. Marauder is the new Gladiator... :P
There's been this depressing air of defeat online in this game lately. It's starting to affect us allThe sad part is we morbidly put ourself through this day in and day out.
Great music is coming. Loving the amount of thought put into the music the last 3 patches vs release music. Don't get me wrong, because it was good, but this music is just more thoughtful, in my opinion.
Also, that long list of mobs that still have range attacks, look at how many of them are special mobs or NM's. It's very true that most mobs, specifically important to exping, have lost their ranged attacks, which is great. Loving this patch so far.
Oh and the Moogle fight seems leaps better than the horrible server dependent Ifrit fight.
I agree, except for the la noscea music, the old one (still played around iron lake) is worlds better.
And they should have used the new Shroud music while it's day and the old one when it gets dark.

I'd love to know if Nobuo is still doing the music or if they are just using inhouse tallent.
Yoshi commented on this question on a live letter I believe. This is a very loose quote, he said something to the effect of 'this is a Final Fantasy, don't want to wear Nobuo out, but keeping in that theme we need a lot of music for a lot of things so composers vary, but music is final fantasy themed.'
I've read these patch notes three times since they were first posted this morning. I was so unbelievably excited about the whole thing... until it clicked with me about the "all HQs are being consolidated" thing. I have a +2 weapon for my GLD, augh. What a total downer.
