I was confused by this too, I'm sure there must be some reason behind it, guess we'll have to wait till the patch goes live to find out.
Hmm, anyone else notice the recast times on traits? How does that work? lol
I i might actually mine now cause of this patch since they show the spots on the map i have terrible memory and have to look @ my map 100's of times to get places so those markers help a lot.

Am I reading this right, I just woke up: "[dev1206] The effects of Protect and Shell have been made mutually exclusive, and one now overwrites the other." Does this mean we can't have protect and shell on both at the same time?
Ya, seems so. It kind of bothered me when I first read it, but I think it'll add a bit more strategy to the game, especially if fighting multiple types of mobs at once.
Liking the changes, can't wait to play the "new" classes.
Oh and they now listed the full list of what each stat affects.

Your avatar pic looks different @.@ Also to comment on that i don't see an shell spell or am i blind, also the one trait incresse the M.def protect gives i don't understand what they are saying with that. The whole con part seems messed to me also cause the stuff that should be Con only is not labeled even their traits.
Some things that caught my eye!
Moving will be made to interrupt spellcasting at a point in time between patch 1.20 and 1.21.
Graphical effects during spellcasting have been revised for thaumaturge and conjurer.
Character movement speed during active mode is now the same as passive mode.
The accuracy bonus granted to bow attacks based on distance has been abolished. (Arrow burn parties back? XD)
Magic spells have been unified to strike either a single target or, in the case of AoE, a circular area. Attack range has also been increased, and area of effect broadened. * Discrepancies between thaumaturges and conjurers no longer exist
Please be warned that it will not be possible to undo point allotment for the duration of patch 1.20. For your reference, the following is a list of the six basic parameters and the various attributes they affect.

Since they didn't write anything it's seems to be a design choice rather then limitations of the system, personally i think it's bad, atleast as a new player i don't feel like running around to unlock the achivement system, seems getting achivements unlocked is an achivement in itself
