    Positionals in the Open World

    I was just going through the stream archives for the recent live letter they did and noticed enemies in the open world have the positional requirements. I was wondering if they would make it like PotD where open world enemies while you do quests don't have positionals on them. I just find it annoying when melee jobs can be doing more damage than they should but can't because you are fighting by yourself you can't hit behind or on the side of the enemy unless you stun but stuns aren't always available.

    For example SAM have positional for their skills which allow them to gain 10 kenki instead of 5 but they will pretty much always get 5 (besides yukikaze because that has no positional requirement) because they can only hit the front of the mob.

    Just a little issue I have personally nothing big. If they don't change it then I'm not too bothered just a small QoL change for melee jobs.

    Eventually, they will do exactly what they did for Dragoon (twice). Allow you to activate the ability from any position but give you a better potency if you get the positional and difference will be negligible when considering open world content.

    Isn't a thing without an incredibly significant investment and ongoing maintenance. In other words, not an option in design decisions.

    As to the OP, positionals in the open world have been a thing since day one and thus it's extremely unlikely that this will ever change.

    Most open world mobs will de in seconds anyway.

    But one thing that can help is the 15 seconds no positional buff that all Melee will get as cross class. But it is 180 seconds CD or something like that...

    SB will include a cross-role buff to always trigger any positional condition, not perfect but it's enough for those few "important" fights.

    Ahahahaahaaaa. Thank you! Slightly.......ehhh who am I kidding...very off topic but in a youtube comment under a vid about MMOs I was basucally called a retard who can't speak english (I have a degree in english so that can't really be possible) for thinking positionals is a word and since I think people call these things positionals apparently I also don't know a thing about the game.

    On topic: as Xlantaa said, most mobs die anyway even if you don't do your rotation properly. And you'll get that new cross-role skill later.

    In the overworld you can run from stuff if things get bad. In palace you just die if you can't dish the damage fast enough.
