Monitor keeps turning off and back on in FFXIV only.

While playing FFXIV, the monitor will randomly start turning off and right back on, causing about 5 seconds of black screen. This seems to happen after being logged into game for about 20+ minutes, and then can happen every 1-2 minutes for the rest of play session.

Odd thing is, this does not affect any other game, including Fallout IV, Witcher III etc.

Set up as follows:
GeForce GTX 980
Driver version 382.33 (up to date)
Inter(R) Core(TM) i7-5820k CPU @ 3.30GHz
15.9 GB RAM
1920 x 1080, 60Hz

Not all that great at checking voltages etc, but hoping someone has heard of this issue, and google doesn't seem to have anything directly related.

1. If you are using HDMI try replacing the cable
2. Possible voltage problem - you can find this out by using a program called CPUID Hardware Monitor (Free download)
3. Possible the gpu is overheating whilst playing FF14

FF14 makes most PCs run hot

Been having this issue in fullscreen. Went into my logs and found out the game is messing with graphic drivers. Every 30 seconds or so the monitor will turn off then back on displaying "hdmi" as input. I fixed this issue by going borderless fullscreen. Definitely the games issue not hardware on our end. We have different cards. Mine is ati and yours is nvidia and we are experiencing the same issue. Mine is not a gpu or power issue. It's the game.

Checked all the voltage settings and nothing out of line, am playing in windowed borderless now. I will be testing with a different monitor in next few days to see if that solves the issue. I am guessing it comes down to something they did in the patch last month that is screwing with my rig.

Hopefully they will fix what they screwed up on the 4/13/17 patch.
