I hate make HQ (need help)

I liked crafting. But, I really hate when quest need for HQ.

I'm tried make carpenter 40lvl for "Oak composite bow" as HQ
All items was HQ and I failed two time make bow....

So I'm suck FFXIV's crafting. Reason too many icons. "No idea where start click".
Also I had many crafting. Wonder where find good guide (all crafting jobs) and make HQ.


Too, can I skip crafting quests? If I get 50lvl crafting and easy make HQ?

Ask someone lv50 or higher with nice gears to craft it for you. This is one solution...


Also in case you want to rely on your only resources: level up disciple of the land jobs, will help you for the materials, then unlock all crafting jobs for the cross skills: some notable cross skills that are really nice on low level crafts: Careful Synthesis (weaver), steady hand 2 (culinarian), i forgot what is called the one from leatherworker, then there is ingenuity from blacksmith....anyway important: read the action tooltips, theyll tell you how such actions work, also u can ask crafter-mentors to help u ingame as they can see u crafting

That guide Hobbit linked seems pretty good, it has throrough explanations and even offers rotations, if you want to just use them. However be warned, every craft is different in how it plays out and depends heavily on rng, so a set rotation has no guarantee to be of help, the keyword to crafting is flexibility.

As a starter, I'd recommend leveling up the other crafters for their cross class skills. Even with all the lv15 skills you can already pretty reliably HQ items.
More in depth, the skill you wanna be aiming for and that will accompany you even til 60 are:
ALC - lv15 Tricks of Trade
BSM - lv15 Ingenuity, replaced at 50 with Ingenuity II
CUL - lv15 Hasty Touch
optionally
GSM - lv15 Manipulation, will mainly be used in low level rotation
CRP - lv15 Rumination for low levels, won't be used in high lvl rotations

If you want to level classes higher, here's what you want to go for first:
CUL - lv37 Steady Hand II
ALC - lv50 Comfort Zone, a must have for high level crafting
CRP - lv50 Byregot's Blessing, another must have
BSM - lv50 Ingenuity II
CUL - lv50 Reclaim, great if you see you won't make the HQ and don't wanna lose your mats
GSM - lv50 Innovation, not all classes will have enough cross class slots to fit this in (it depends on how many skills the class has itself and how many you have to take as cross class skills)

That's it for the start, as I said, you can already pretty reliably HQ stuff with the lv15 skills, the high level skills just make your life easier. What also helps a lot is to start off with HQ materials.
Best of luck, have fun crafting and don't get discouraged if stuff doesn't end up HQ all the time, as said before, there's still a lot of rng to crafting.

I see you are pretty much a lv40 across the board crafter. I would assume you have HQ crafting gear. I remember these crafts were somewhat difficult until I acquired my Vintage Coatee.

Additionally, you can just level up higher, as your character level does impact the ease of a craft. By lv42, that lv40 craft will be significantly easier.

a bit cheap but this site has been my goto for crafting. Another thing that helps is to make HQ versions of the intermediate crafts needed to craft the final product. Starting from scratch (especially if you are patient to get some hq materials) can make or break HQ synthing
