What happens to Tank Accuracy

We know that accuracy is being replaced with direct hit, an exclusive stat for DPS gear. What then will happen to accuracy currently on tank gear and accessories?

I'm guessing/hoping it will become strength.

With vitality is losing its contribution to tank DPS and accessories becoming job locked, I don't think it is too big of a stretch to believe accuracy could become strength for tanks.

It will not be strength as it's a primary stat. It will most likely be replaced by another secondary stat.

We may just see it being replaced with Tenacity (damage taken down, damage dealt up) as we will with Parry on gear in 4.0.

Yes I know it's a "DPS only stat" but it will probably happen to healers with acc melds and animas aswell. Any gear that's level 61+ will not have it on there and will be Tenacity/Det/Crit/Skill Speed only.

I don't think they are gonna put any direct hit on tank gear as they stated it's a dps stat hence they just might code it to not work at all on non dps jobs, I'm expecting to see parry changed to tenacity and accuracy on tank gear changed to one of the existing stat

they COULD put direct hit on gear, but the stat would just be dead weight, and not actually cause direct hits?
or all current Heavens Eye materia have to be traded in to a vendor in exchange for the Direct Hit equivalent, and current melds are just SoL useless accuracy
