I took a break for 4 or 5 months so I wanted to ask about something. Right next to the vendor that sales the one hair style is another vendor that sells glamour gear. She sales Tarnish Makai and Common Makai (for level 1) gear. I don't remember this vendor being there before. Was is this new for the holiday (and will it go away when the holiday ends) or permanent and I'm just blind? Been saying for Sparkle Fox mount but I do like some of the gear she sells. I'd take the hit for that butterfly helm. LOL.

Tarnish Makai gear are basically glamour version of ilvl 235 Makai gear you can get via PvP.

They are available as part of Garo cross-over event which is said to end sometime after Stormblood's release. They are not associated with the "Make it rain" holiday event.

You can spend a lot of MGP to get the glamour or you can do PvP roulette for 1 day and get enough wolf seals to buy helm (NPC at Wolves' Den).

To add to this, OP, the PvP version is also dyeable, while the MGP version isn't.
