This. Personally, I love FF9 the most out of every FF but, I'm not so sure I want to see it go through what 7 seems to be. I don't want to see it become another 15 (all of my hate ^_^).
While I can't speak for Khaotic, here are what I think two of the big problems with the VII remake:
1. It's been in Development Hell forever, especially with Nomura in charge, who is an uber perfectionist and is also the reason XV came out soooo late, where it was originally suppose to be a PS3/Xbox 360 tie-in title to XIII
2. It's going to be released in Episodes due to SE wanting to follow a "Games-as-a-Service" business model, like Ubisoft and EA.
This is a weird complaint. If Nomura had been kept in charge and remained perfectionist, it wouldn't have had any of the problems that most people are currently having with XV because... well, he'd have been very perfectionist about it. Despite all the complaints KH gets story-wise for being all over the place, there aren't any notable inconsistencies and each individual KH game is well paced. I think, reasonably, it's better to have something in development as long as it needs to be rather than rushing out and going back later to fix all the bugs.
This, however, I can agree with. Though as much as I'd like to blame SE for just being greedy here, I think it's more a situation of what I previously explained - people want things out fast and Nomura wants to make sure he releases a polished product. With the episodic system it allows him to actually release stuff fairly early (since he doesn't need to get the whole game done first) while still being able to finely craft it.2. It's going to be released in Episodes due to SE wanting to follow a "Games-as-a-Service" business model, like Ubisoft and EA.
1: Final Fantasy VI (non-mobile remake)
2: Parasite Eve
3: Xenogears
Really though, I'd like to see most every old Square and / or Enix game remade.
From what I've seen so far, which admittedly isn't much, mostly the combat system. No idea where they're going with it and it might actually be really good but, if it's anything like 15's combat I definitely will despise it.
This is a thing!? Ugh.

Threads of Fate Remake. It comes free with your purchase of Threads of Fate 2. Do it SE!
I would like to see FFIV remake , new game style, kind of what they are doing with FFVII. In my opinion it was one of the best story lines ever :P
Bahamut Lagoon had a great story as well and having evolving Dragons was always fun.
Sorry but can you explain Games as a service? This is the first time I've heard about it.While I can't speak for Khaotic, here are what I think two of the big problems with the VII remake:
1. It's been in Development Hell forever, especially with Nomura in charge, who is an uber perfectionist and is also the reason XV came out soooo late, where it was originally suppose to be a PS3/Xbox 360 tie-in title to XIII

Also I thought FF7 remake was put off because they never attempted to develop it until it was announced that they would work on it
Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.
It refers to treating a game like an on-going service and not like a finished product to increase and monetize customers' long-term interest in it.
Things like releasing the game episodically, expanding upon the story via patches or DLC, continuously updating and patching the game, having seasonal passes, and adding new features are examples of treating a game like a service.
How SE handling XV is an example of this: We first got the vanilla game, then they add things like PS4 Pro support, DLC episodes and packs, Multiplayer, character creation and customization, VR support, and various patches.
It's not necessarily a bad thing (and those of us who have played MMOs are use to it) but it means you generally won't get a finished product if you buy the game upon release. A few companies might even withhold features until later so they can get people interested in the game again (and start spending money again) or they might focus more on monetizing their current games instead of making new ones (Ubisoft has already made such a claim).
