There's no such a thing as a "pure healer". What Yoshi P meant was that White Mages are very pure and innocent. They have a pure soul. They want to "bolster" that caricature. That is what was meant by "pure". We're going to see Black Mages become the evil DPS and White Mages will become the bastion of purity and righteousness.

While that would be nice to mean, it's completely not what they mean. They said the same thing in 3.0, and all it meant was we get more healing abilities than the others without any utility behind it, which really didn't help with anything.

No healer is Pure Healer if they are able to deal damage without any issue. In Stormblood every healer should try to do damage if when they are able, otherwise you are plain lazy.
