Fatal direct x 10000000 error

this fatal direct error pops up every time i try and load the game, whether its dx11 or dx9 mode. ive scoured all over google trying to find a fix or workaround that works. im sure there are other threads about this error but ive done nothing new to my computer. my specs are

AMD FX 8320 eight core processor
AMD RX480 eight gig video card
16gb DDR3
Asus Crosshair V Formula A-Z motherboard
Windows 10 professional X64
AMD video drivers 17.5.2

tried updating my video drivers, tried running the game as administrator, im at a loss, im loosing game time i've paid for and i've preordered stormblood so i might miss early access due to this error. several people said its an AMD driver issue, i just want to know if square enix realizes how big of an issue this is and is activly working on a fix, or is it on AMD or windows end to fix this. I'm at wits end, has anyone else found a workaround, any and all comment is appreciated.

I found myself with this error this morning. played fine yesterday all day *** I fixed the problem by enabling GPU scaling*** this particular option in Radeon cards is on the video tab.

Anyone else tried GPU scaling under the video tab to see if this works?

I only had an issue with 1000000 once, myself, after a clean reinstall of updated gpu drivers (in an attempt to figure out my 1100002 problem) . It went away when I did a clean uninstall and install of the same drivers again. I don't know if that helps you at all.

sorry it took me so long to respond, i can testify that enabling GPU scaling in the radeon control pannel does in fact cure the fatal direct x error, it took care of my problem and haven't seen the error since, thank you so much for posting this workaround and i hope it works for others too :P
